What is Salvation in Jesus Christ? Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life.

John 3:16 - What is Salvation in Jesus Christ?

What is Salvation in Jesus Christ

16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16,17

47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes "in Me has everlasting life." John 6:47

8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

Salvation in Jesus Christ is a free gift from God, it is yours when you ask. Jesus says in Mark 11:24, whatsoever you ask of me, you shall receive it. "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."  We will help you ask, and call on the name of Jesus here.

The Fall of Adam and Our Need for a Savior

Salvation in Jesus Christ is an immediate, free gift from God—given to all to save you. We are plunged into a state of sinfulness and mortality because of Adam's sin (Romans 5:12, Romans 5:19). We inherited a corrupt nature, spiritual separation from God, and the penalty of physical death, often referred to as original sin, because of the fall of Adam. But God has sent us a Savior to save us, because He loves us so much!

God sent His only begotten Son to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10, John 3:16). Jesus, who knew no sin, took the sins of all humanity—for all time—upon Himself. He went to Calvary, shed His blood, died on the cross, and rose again three days later to save our lives. Jesus is our Risen Savior. He is alive and now seated at the right hand of the Father God in heaven.

The Good News of Salvation Through Jesus Christ:

Jesus Christ Offers Life and Righteousness

And here is where the "Good News" comes in: we have a Risen, living Savior in Jesus Christ. God sent His one and only Son so that we may be saved from sin, hell, and the grave. Once you are saved, you shall have eternal life, ruling and reigning with God and Jesus in heaven.

His mighty, matchless name is Jesus Christ. Even in His final moments on the cross, Jesus demonstrated the immediacy of salvation. The thief on the cross next to Jesus said to Him, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise" (Luke 23:42-43).

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Jesus Christ through His obedience, and through His shed Blood on the cross, His death, burial and resurrection, offers life and righteousness to ALL! (Romans 5:19)

Before we dive into understanding salvation in Jesus Christ, take a moment to reflect on this powerful truth: Jesus loves you! This simple yet profound message is at the heart of the gospel and the foundation of our salvation. Listen to this beautiful reminder of His unfailing love.

As the song reminds us, God's love for us is the reason He sent His Son. Now let's explore what salvation in Jesus Christ truly means and how this gift of grace transforms our lives forever.

Now Is the Day of Salvation: God's Urgent Call to Righteousness Scriptures

Isaiah's Prophecy: God's Salvation Is About to Come (Isaiah 56:1-2)

Thus says the Lord:

1 “Keep justice, and do righteousness,
For My salvation is about to come,
And My righteousness to be revealed.
Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.” Isaiah 56:1-2

The Anointed One Proclaims Liberty and Freedom (Isaiah 61:1)

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;"  Isaiah 61:1

Today is the Time of God's Favor: Now is the Day of Salvation (2 Corinthians 6:1-2)

As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says,

“In the time of my favor I heard you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you.”[a]

Wake Up: Our Salvation is Nearer Than Ever (Romans 13:11)

"This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed". Romans 13:11
